We want you to be successful inside the classroom. |

Explanations and demonstrations are only part of your educational experience. Our instructors will do whatever is necessary to ensure you fully understand each concept and technique. For example, if you need more time to master a lesson, you take the time you need. If you want more exercises / examples / demonstrations, you get them. We keep our class sizes small (maximum 16 students per class) to ensure each student gets the help they deserve. Our dedication to your education is why 95% of all students graduate. It is always a good time to start your education and we offer new courses weekly to meet the needs of your timetable and schedule. To help you with your English, every International Student receives the equivalent of two hours of English a day throughout their studies. |
| |
|
 |
We want you to be successful outside the classroom. |
| |
Once each student has successfully completed the academic portion of their program, we find each student a three month work internship to gain real Canadian experience. You get the chance to practice your new skills and make valuable employment contacts in an established Canadian company. We have
100s of contacts with Canadian employers which enable 90%+ of our Canadian students to obtain quick program-related employment. Although we have been in the education business for many years, we remember
the excitement of getting a new job in a new career. Courses are designed to be completed in one year to fast tract your dreams.
Concordia College brings a unique approach for career preparation to students. Graduating Class of 2007
Faculty members and staff, validictorians, graduating students of 2007, ladies and gentlemen, good evening and welcome to Concordia College.
My name is Fr. John K.S. Koulouras, and as Chairman of the Board, I have the pleasure of being your Master of Ceremonies for this evening’s events. It is an honour and a privilege to share this graduating ceremony with you, your family and friends. I bring you greetings and wishes from the President of the College, Dr. Lilly Tsambalieros-Hinton, who regrettably could not attend tonight’s proceedings, for she presently finds herself conducting seminars in India. I also bring you greetings from the Board of Directors, faculty and staff. I convey to you their best wishes and congratulate you on your successful completion of your program.
Tonight we are here to celebrate the end of your journey with Concordia, and the beginning of a new life from this day forward. You are to be congratulated for your decision and determination to create a better life for yourselves by continuing your education in your chosen field. Many adults are now attending post secondary institutions seeking to upgrade their skills, taking courses in computers that enable them to stay on top of the industry.
Here at Concordia you have come to realize that the faculty, the directors, and staff have proven to you that you are more than just a student – you are unique individuals whom we care for, and everyone here has gone that extra mile to help you develop procedures to meet business requirements.
You have met all the staff, you have also met Tina and Angie, who are always willing to help you. You have experienced the care and concern Tina has taken to help you in preparing your resumes. Angie has been the mom of the College, and whenever you needed something you didn’t hesitate to run to her – similarly Fern at Richmond Hill. So between the two of them (Fern and Angie), they keep the operational motor humming. One of the new areas they branched into is job placement. I encourage you to take a moment of your time and speak to them. You will find them most accommodating to assist you in the placement process.
Martin, well Martin is the life of the school. He always has a smile, always willing to help, and not afraid to express his own opinion. As for the faculty members, Mr. Kalsi, Yash, Beverly, Dale the Director of Education, each brings his/her own talent and expertise in making the learning process not only available to the student, but a wonderful and memorable experience. They do this in many ways, but mainly in making students feel comfortable, and are always available to be of assistance. If there is ever a problem Yash is Mr. fix it. Mr. Dale MacIsaac, who functions from the Richmond Hill Campus, is constantly concerned with developing the education program of Concordia. Students find him very approachable, and more than willing to assist, and we thank him for it.
One thing I can say with pride, is that at Concordia College, our first and foremost concern has been and continues to be the students, and this has been Dr. Hinton’s moto. For this reason, I believe when you chose Concordia College you made an excellent choice. Concordia has played an important role in making your dream a reality. You have worked diligently to earn your diploma. And for some it was a readjustment in order to assimilate into this educational environment. But you have accomplished what you have set out to do. You came wanting to learn and you succeeded in many ways. For receiving your diplomas tonight, you are taking the first steps on a journey of your vision into the future. I am proud to address you the graduating students, for you have demonstrated that you have what it takes, and given the opportunity, you can make your dreams a reality.
Never hesitate and never stop pursuing your goal. You have proven that you have much to contribute, not only to society, but also to yourselves, to take pride in your accomplishments.
Soon you will be receiving your diploma or certificate that you have diligently worked for. A wise professor once remarked, when addressing a graduating class, with what I thought was a wonderful reminder about educating oneself. He said, “Though you are graduating today and will be leaving these halls of learning remember your education has only just begun.” These words of his still ring true today. You have been given a key to enable you to unlock the door of a learning adventure and to behold a new horizon that is only limited by your own sight. Use your key wisely, and may your future bring you closer to the dreams you have been envisioning. Your successes in life will also be our successes. No greater pleasure will we have here at Concordia than when we hear of your accomplishments and successes.
I know I speak on behalf of the President of the College, Dr. Lilly Tsambalieros-Hinton, in saying that although you will be away from the classroom, nothing would please us more than to have you visit us and to hear from you. Please keep in touch with us, because you are part of the Concordia family. And nothing will please us more, than to know that you are doing well and succeeding in life.
We at Concordia wish you all much success as you embark on your journey towards the future. Thank you.

Concordia College wishes to thank Member of Parliament, Derek Lee, for the Congratulatory letters that you will be receiving along with your certificates and diplomas.
I would now like to call upon all four members of the faculty to please come forward. Mr. Dale MacIsaac, Mr. Yash Kalsi, Mr. Prerak Yash Patel and Mrs. Beverly Verstege who will call out your names to come forward and receive your diplomas and certificates.
Thank you. |

Good Evening,
Father John, Members of the Governing Board, Honored Guests, Teachers and Faculty, Graduating Students, Visitors and Friends, Ladies and Gentlemen.
My name is Christy. I am an international student. A year ago I came to Canada, I knew my English was bad, I felt very nervous, so I didn’t talk very much.
After I came to Concordia College, everyone in our school was very nice. When I had questions, teachers were very patient to answer my questions, even if I asked the same question many times.
I love Concordia College. I feel very comfortable in school, I feel like I am at my home. I have improved my English and my confidence a lot because of everyone’s help in school.
I know life is hard, especially on my own, I have to face difficulties in my life, I have to solve problems by myself, but I don’t feel lonely, that’s because of all the people who are around me.
Finally, I should say thank you to my dear parents, although they are not here. They give me lots of support and courage, I am blessed because of my parents. Congratulations and good luck to every one of you.
Thank you.

Madam President, faculty members, graduating
students, ladies and gentlemen good evening
It gives me great pleasure to welcome you all to this graduating
ceremony. I feel truly privileged to share this evening with you,
your family and friends. You made the decision to create a better
life for yourself by educating yourself in your chosen field. I
believe you made an excellent choice in attending Concordia College.
You have worked diligently to earn your diploma, and for some it was
a readjustment to find you accomplished what you set out to do. You
came wanting to learn and you succeeded in many ways, for tonight in
receiving your diploma, it becomes the first step in your journey of
a vision of the future, and that vision is only limited by your own
sight. As graduates, you have the opportunity to make your dream a
reality.
It is important that you pursue your goal. You have much to
contribute to society and you have the right to be proud of your
accomplishments. As you are aware, we have here at Concordia a full
time placement office. One of the main duties of the placement
office is to assist students in finding employment. We encourage you
to take a moment of your time and speak with the officer. You will
find the officer most accommodating in assisting you to prepare for
interviews and the placement process.
Please make it a point to visit us here at Concordia. We would like
to hear from you and keep in touch with you for you are part of the
Concordia family.
I know I speak on behalf of the President of the College, Dr. Lilly
Hinton, the faculty and staff, in wishing you success as you leave
to begin your future.

Good Evening,
Dr. Hinton, Members of the Governing Board, Honored Guests, Reverend
Father John, Teachers and Faculty, Graduating Students, family and
friends, Ladies and Gentlemen
This year I have the honor of addressing you on behalf of the
graduating students. I would like to share with you my experiences
at Concordia College and what they have meant to me.
People attend school for a variety of reasons and with many hopes
and goals in mind. Some, like me, are looking for direction and
education provides the path, others go to college to enhance skills
and experience they possess in order to be able to find a better
job, while others are on a mission of self-improvement.
A year ago I came to Canada as a new student at Concordia College.
As with all of us graduating today, I came in pursuit of an
education and a dream of the future. Today marks a milestone in that
pursuit.
For me, alone in this country and far from my native home and my
loved ones, Concordia College provided a safe haven where I could
learn and study, get to know new people, make new friends, seek help
and friendly advice and, collect lasting memories & impressions that
will stay with me throughout my days. I remember those first few
days at this school, so mixed with both fear and excitement and I am
grateful that I was here, at this place at that time in my life.
I can’t possibly begin to imagine what being a part of this college
has meant to each of you. I can say that I believe that the people
here treated each of us with respect and understanding, that we were
given every opportunity to learn and improve, that our educational
needs were provided for and that we leave today not simply as
graduates armed with a piece of paper in our hand, but armed with
knowledge and understanding that will help us meet the coming
challenges head on.
As one journey ends and another about to begin, I would presume to
offer each of you some advice: take the good with you; make it part
of your present, bring it into your future, share it with others.
Remember your hard work, remember the support and sacrifices made by
your families during those long nights of study, remember how
amazing it feel to learn, to discover and to grow. Remember what you
feel right now and be proud of what you have accomplished.
Congratulations and good luck to each and every one of you.

Mr. Martin Isaacs
Teachers, Administrative Staff, Visitors, Friends, Other
Guests of Honor, Ladies and Gentlemen
My name is Sarah McPherson, a year ago I decided to get a career for
a better life. I did some research I called several schools
including this college, where I met this real nice gentleman, none
other than Mr. Martin Isaacs , who helped me to get enrolled into
the course of my choice, the Personal Support Worker.
Mr. Isaacs I want to take this opportunity sir, to let you know how
grateful and appreciative I am to you for your help. I came to the
school, I studied and worked hard, I did my co-op and am now
graduating. I now have a job in my field, which has certainly
changed my life, I feel much better now and even more confident
about myself and there is always room to go further.
I enjoyed the school, the teachers and the entire staff. I wish all
the graduates, the school and the dedicated and hard working staff,
perpetual success in future endeavors.
Thank You
