Create a web page (part 1) is designed to teach how the internet works and how you can build a simple web page using the most basic H.T.M.L.
in a simple text editor (like Notepad) and your favorite browser. (both programs come free with most operating systems)
In 12 hours you will explore the history of the internet and gain a fundamental understanding of how it works. You will learn how to build increasingly more complicated pages as the course progresses.
You will learn about servers, domain name registration and how to upload your pages using F.T.P. By the eighth week you should be able to build a simple web site incorporating text, images, movies and animation and sound.
This course is designed for the average person who has only a basic understanding of computers and who has little or no knowledge of how web pages are built or displayed.
