Course Synopsis: |

The objective of thsi program is to give the student “hands on” training in the key areas of financial accounting, as well as in the implementation and operation of a computeriazed accounting system. The practical, rather than the theoretical, is stressed. |

Course Requirements: |

High school graduate or equivalent or mature student status (19 years of age and one year out of high school) or passing entrance test and counsellor interview. |

Course Objective: |

Students who have completed the Financail Assistant Program are expected to work as an accounting professional, office assistant, office administrator, administrative assistant to perform various secretarial and office support functions for the Electronic Resources Manager such as organizing and maintaining file system, processing documentation and correspondence and assisting with collection development, editing and reproduction of electronic resource materials. |
